The C18 ACERT marine propulsion engine has commercial application ratings of 475-725 mhp (469-715 bhp) at 1800-2100 rpm that meet U.S. EPA Tier 3, IMO II, and EU IW emissions regulations. In addition to meeting the stricter EPA Tier 3 emissions, this engine now offers a fresh water aftercooled option for the commercial propulsion and auxiliary engines and genset packages. Cat® C12 Diesel Marine Propulsion Engines, with ratings of 340-490 bhp (254-366 bkW) at 1800-2300 rpm, meet IMO II emission standards, with the exception of the 497 mhp (490 bhp) rating at 2300 rpm which meets IMO I emissions standards. The C12 takes full advantage of the electronically controlled unit injection fuel system, resulting in an environmentally friendly engine with outstanding performance and fuel economy. There is also a wide range of optional equipment available to meet the needs of your marine commercial or pleasure craft application.

The C7.1 marine propulsion engine is ideal for recreational boating applications, specifically smaller vessels and motor yachts ranging from 25 -60 feet in size. The engine features a common rail fuel system enabling optimum combustion and low emissions. The engines provide noticeably quiet operation due to reduced combustion noise through advanced electronic control. Additionally, no visible smoke is emitted from the C7.1 engines during operation.

With the introduction of the C32B product line in 2021, Caterpillar Marine now confirms the availability of the uprated Cat® C32B Marine Propulsion engine in 2025 mhp and 2433 mhp offerings. With 25% more peak power and high performance, this engine demonstrates great performance and efficiency, while also delivering noise reduction at lower engine speeds. This product meets IMO II and U.S. EPA Tier 3 (recreational) emissions standards.

The 3516E marine propulsion engine is now available in a wide range of ratings that meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and IMO III marine emissions regulations. As the commercial marine industry adjusts their operations to meet EPA Tier 4 Final and IMO III emissions standards, Caterpillar Marine has introduced a solution built to maximize performance while meeting regulations. Caterpillar's combination of a fuel-efficiency-optimized engine and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) aftertreatment system is a solution that not only reduces NOx emissions, but can also lower a customer's owning and operating costs in the process.

The C18 SRMP is the latest generator and brings commonality with our petroleum products as well as interfacing improvements. We have also taken this opportunity to add new price list options. All engine ratings and emissions certifications are the same, however we have been able to increase the power output of the generator for 12 of the 14 ratings.

The 3516C propulsion engine is available with a wide range of ratings that meet IMO II regulations without any additional aftertreatment. These engines provide efficient operation with electronic governing, cold mode start strategy, and programmable low idle to minimize fuel consumption. The 3516C engine also incorporates a closed crankcase ventilation system to lower emissions.

C7.1 generator set

Cat® C7.1 Diesel Marine Generator Set has three phase ratings of 50 Hertz at 100, 118, and 150 ekW with heat exchanger cooling that meet U.S. EPA Tier 3 commercial, IMO II, and EU CC2 emissions standards. The C7.1 also has three phase ratings of 60 Hertz at 118, 150, 175, and 175 ekW with heat exchanger cooling that meet U.S. EPA Tier 3 commercial, IMO II, and EU CC2 emissions standards. C7.1 gen set is available in 12 or 24 volt and this compact package is ideal for a wide range of commercial and pleasure craft applications.

All new from the block up and built on the proven C32 platform, the C32B marine engine delivers more power, more speed, more time on the water and more peace of mind. All in a quieter package with only a 2% increase in weight, compared to the previous model — making the C32B the right choice for new builds and repowers. Rated at 2025 mhp (2000 bhp) / 1491 bkW @ 2300 rpm, the C32B meets U.S. EPA Marine Tier 3 and IMO II emissions standards. With an E Tier rating, it can run at the full 2000hp up to 8% of the time.

The C9.3 ACERT propulsion engine has a B rating of 375 bhp (280 bkW) at 1800 rpm, a C rating of 416 bhp (310 bkW) at 2100 rpm, and a D rating of 476 bhp (355 bkW) at 2300 rpm. The C9.3 propulsion, auxiliary, and generator set engines have a common rail fuel system for optimal combustion and lower emissions. Cooling system options for the propulsion and auxiliary engines include heat exchanger with sea water aftercooling, and keel with combined circuit or separate circuit aftercooling. The genset packages are available with heat exchanger, keel, or radiator cooling. These products are EPA Tier 3 and IMO II certified. In addition the propulsion engine ratings are EU Stage IIIA certified and auxiliary and gen sets are also CCNR Stage II certified.
