POWER PROTECTION PLANS (PPP)

Now owners of Caterpillar Engines in commercial applications can utilize the Caterpillar Power Protection Plan (PPP) to guarantee and control maintenance, inspection, overhaul and unexpected or emergency repair costs. A Power Protection Plan is a comprehensive total maintenance and repair agreement with Caterpillar covering new Caterpillar Engines and approved attachments in commercial applications in North America (including Alaska and Hawaii). Factory-backed and administered by Caterpillar, a PPP contractually guarantees maintenance and repair costs, as will as optimum performance over an extended period.PPP availability:  Caterpillar EPG, Petroleum and Industrial Diesel/Natural Gas Engines and Attachments Caterpillar EPG and Industrial Biogas Engines and Attachments Caterpillar Marine Engines/Diesel and Heavy Fuel Engines and AttachmentsExpert maintenance and repairs When your engine is covered by a Caterpillar PPP, you can rest assured that all recommended scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs will be completed by factory-trained, authorized Caterpillar dealer technicians. This includes scheduled component inspections and overhauls, top-end, in-fame and major overhauls, and emergency repair services. Up to ten years of coverage A Caterpillar PPP helps you control operating costs, increase availability and maintain optimum performance for your Caterpillar Engines and package generator sets. Additional coverages may be added for maximum protection: Overtime labor and travel premiums Serviceability expenses Engine access, removal and reinstallation expenses Consumables, including Cat oil (add and fill), coolant, coolant conditioner, belts, lubricants and hoses Top-end, in-frame and major overhauls Applicable taxes InflationPPP Coverage Basic Coverage: Includes parts, labor, Caterpillar Fluids and Filters, S·O·STM Fluid Analysis, and travel. PPP goes beyond extended warranties A PPP is not a warranty. In fact, it goes beyond the coverage normally found in extended warranties by guaranteeing all costs associated with scheduled maintenance, inspection and repair of major components, in addition to unscheduled or emergency repairs over an extended period of operation. There are no exclusions, limitations or deductibles, and the PPP covers defects in materials and workmanship, as well as the normal wear-out. Improve budgeting with guaranteed fixed rates The Caterpillar PPP is priced to cover costs associated with scheduled preventive maintenance, scheduled component replacement, overhauls, and emergency unscheduled repairs. The actual price you pay, usually invoiced monthly, depends on the length of coverage, your application and engine usage. The applicable rate (measured either as a cost per hour, cost per kilowatt-hour or cost per month) is a guaranteed fixed rate. This rate will not change during the agreement period due to increases in labor charges or parts and consumables prices.
